A Jack Ludefance Novel
by Behcet Kaya
Why we picked it
A strong pick for readers who enjoy classic private-eye fiction with a small-town setting. The family power struggles and buried secrets add extra intrigue to the central murder case.
About this book
Behcet Kaya’s Murder at Tutley Brewery follows private investigator Jack Ludefance as he takes on a killing tied to one of Tutley’s most influential families. The case begins when Wilhelmina Wein, recently named chief executive of Tutley Brewery, is discovered dead at the brewery, and her grandfather, Detlef Wein Jr., brings Jack in to uncover the truth.
As Jack digs deeper, he finds a web of family tensions, hidden pasts, and secrets kept for years. Part of Kaya’s Jack Ludefance PI series, the novel blends a brewery-centered murder inquiry with the feel of a small-town puzzle, layered family drama, and traditional detective storytelling.
