SugarSync, on the other hand, requires a bit of setup and the interface is a bit more complex. In short, it gets a little getting used to.

Basically, if you want to sync several folders in your computer’s drives, you can do so by using SugarSync and all the files you save in those synced folders will be automatically uploaded to the cloud.
When it comes to the free storage they offer, SugarSync offers more at 5GB while Dropbox only offers 2GB. When going for paid services, it can be said that these two have level offers despite the differences. Individual plans for SugarSync come at $7.60 a month to get 60GB while individual plans for Dropbox start at $9.99 per month for 100G. Both offers are not bad, and the difference you have to consider would be how much money you’re willing to spend on your storage if you have a lot of files. Both offer upgrades for additional costs.
One of the advantages that SugarSync has over Dropbox is that it allows its users to upload and sync via email—something you cannot do with Dropbox. For those who frequently use emails for work and for storing email information, SugarSync is the way to go.

One problem with Google Drive though is that you can only access your documents by using Google Docs. The program works well in offline mode, and people who work with MS Word files would have to export their documents so they can be opened. It has to be said that in this instance, the clear winner is DropBox since it offers much more flexibility with files.
Web Client – This is one aspect where Google Drive takes the cake. It features a whole suite of apps that includes PicMonkey, Spreadsheets, Docusign, and Docs. It also makes use of the powerful Google Search tool that makes it easy for users to search for specific words or images and files amongst everything they have stored in the drive. DropBox also offers an advanced search function but it is nowhere near as robust as what is being offered by Google Drive. Sharing – This is one aspect of cloud storage that people really like so how do these two measure up? DropBox allows you to share via a link and a shared folder. Google Drive has a more limited way of sharing and it can be somewhat confusing. In short, DropBox is the winner as it has a more streamlined way of sharing files.

Refer a friend – With this option, you stand to expand your Dropbox limit to 16GB! However, you only get 500MB for every friend that you refer. While it is the easiest way to get a whopping 16GB of space, it might take some time for you to actually get friends into Dropbox so you can try other ways to expand space while you wait for them to sign up for Dropbox accounts.
Connect Facebook – Do you have a Facebook account? If the answer is “yes,” then simply by linking your Dropbox account to your Facebook can actually get you an extra 125MB of space for free! All it takes is a few clicks and a few seconds and that extra space will automatically be credited to your account.
Connect Twitter – This is another fun and effortless way to get another 125MB free space added to your account. All you need to do is connect your Dropbox account to your Twitter, send a tweet inviting your friends to give Dropbox a try, and you automatically get 125MB of space on your account. It is so simple that it would seem like they are practically giving free space away.
